Our policy for dealing with any personal information that you might disclose to us while visiting this website is explained below.
The types of personal information that we collect from you will depend on how you use our website. You can be certain that the information we receive about you will be treated as strictly confidential.
We do not collect or use any personal information on visitors to our website, through the use of third party cookies or other software or hardware techniques. Google Analytics uses first party cookies to anonymously and in aggregate report on visits to this website. This may include the number of hits the website receives and the domains from which this website is accessed. To determine what our users are interested in, we may also look at the frequency of search words used in connecting you to this website.
Any forms hosted on this website are protected against spam by the reCAPTCHA service provided by Google. The API works by collecting hardware and software information, such as device and application data and the results of integrity checks, and sends that data to Google for analysis. By using the forms and reCAPTCHA service, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner as described above.
If you log onto the website and read or download information: our Internet Service Provider/Hosting Provider will record your server address, domain name, the date and time of your visit to our website, the pages viewed and the information downloaded. This information is used for statistical and website development purposes only.
It is our policy not to sell or pass on any personal information that you may have provided to us unless we have your express consent to do so. An exception to this is where we may be required by law to disclose certain information.
CONFIDENTIALITY
Confidentiality is the requirement that facilitators, therapists and other mental health professionals uphold to protect their client’s privacy by not revealing the contents of the support group or therapy session.
The only exceptions for the release of personal information to a third party includes:
- If it is subpoenaed by a court.
- If a client is at risk of harming themselves or someone else.
- Mandatory reporting.
Even in these circumstances every effort will be made to gain your written consent.

COUNSELLING PAYMENT TERMS
Fees are payable in full before the day of your consultation. Payment can be made either by cash, booking plat form, bank transfer or EFT (surcharge 1.9%). You will receive a tax invoice and receipt upon payment, to support your private health fund claim.
PRIVATE HEALTH FUND
Not all private health funds include counselling services. Please enquire with your health fund to determine whether or not our services are covered by your health fund policy.
COUNSELLING CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event of having to cancel or change your consultation, our cancellation policy is as follows:
- Cancelled booking more than 48 hours prior to the allocated session, no charge payable by you. You will receive a full refund.
- Cancelled consultations less than 48 hours notice prior to the allocated session - only 50% of the consultation fee will be refunded and 50% withheld.
If given appropriate notice, we are more than happy to reschedule. Only one rescheduled appointment will occur at no cost to you. If you have rescheduled once already and you cancel the second time, this is considered a cancellation and fees will apply at the time of cancellation.
Reversal of monies paid will incur a 3% administration fee (regardless of reasons for cancellation).
Note: If consultations are missed you will not be refunded. A cancellation is considered late when the appointment is cancelled less than 48 hours before the appointed time. A no-show is when a client misses an appointment without cancelling.
We reserve the right to use our discretion depending on circumstances. If an appointment is cancelled at the last minute, another client may have been turned away.
CLIENT SESSION POLICY: EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT AND UTILISATION GUIDELINES
1. Individual Sessions: Any single session booked must be availed within one month from the booking date.
2. Three-Pack Sessions: Clients acquiring a three-pack must utilise all sessions within three months from the date of purchase.
3. Six-Pack Sessions: Those opting for a six-pack must complete all sessions within six months from the date of purchase.
4. Nine-Pack Sessions: Clients with a nine-pack must schedule and attend all sessions within nine months from the date of purchase.
5. Twelve-Pack Sessions: A twelve-pack necessitates clients to utilise all sessions within twelve months from the date of purchase.
Clients will receive reminders via email and text from Yvette, prompting them to book a session and providing details on the remaining sessions. While Yvette endeavours to facilitate communication, it remains the client's responsibility to reach out and coordinate future sessions.
In the event that clients do not utilise their paid sessions within the specified time frames, access to those sessions will be forfeited. Yvette acknowledges the potential for unforeseen circumstances and appreciates understanding in such situations.
SOCIAL CONTACT
In accordance with the Australian Counselling Association Code of Ethics our counsellors are unable to become socially connected with you, this includes personal social media platforms.
GIFT CERTIFICATES
Gift vouchers are NOT eligible for Medicare Rebate, non-transferable, not redeemable for cash and must be used by expiry date.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
Oceanside Health & Wellness reserves the right to make modifications to this Privacy Policy from time to time, to take into account changes to our standard practices and procedures or where necessary to comply with new laws and regulations. The latest version of this policy will always be available on our website.
